Difficult new content is being added to Lost Ark at a glacial pace, presumably for those who have already completed the game. The first of these to go live is a Legion Raid, an instanced encounter with multiple phases. Players' abilities will be tested to the limit as they attempt to take down the raid's bosses.
Many Lost Ark players consider the Valtan Legion Raid to be the beginning of the game's best content. It's also among the most difficult works to be published. As such, players in parties that wish to finish the Legion Raid as quickly and painlessly as possible will benefit from any advice that can be given to them. What follows are a few of our best recommendations for easing your way through the process.
As a rule, purple wolves launch their attacks straight in your face.
In the initial part of the Legion raid, players must contend with a wolf that can divide in two. Beginning players face up against a single Boss, the Purple Wolf, while their HP is between 50 and 45. Most of his assaults come straight at you, so keeping your distance or sneaking up on his flanks behind him is your best bet. There are three types of attacks, however, that players should be wary of cheap Lost Ark gold:
When you use the 360-Swipe attack, a ring of explosions will appear around the monster, creating a safe area either close to him or far away.
Tornado with three waves, each releasing four Shurikens in an alternating "+" and "x" pattern. You'll find this assault in other Stages as well.
Subterranean pools that sprout beneath players and detonate shortly after. You'll find this assault in other Stages as well.
Learn When a Panacea Is Necessary
It is advised that you equip the consumable Battle Item Panacea to your fast bar in preparation for the raid. It will remove some fight-threatening perks. Use it to protect yourself and your raid from harm, or to sidestep the monster's mechanics so you can deal more damage to the boss. Here are three of its most advantageous applications:
When the boss's health drops to between 45 and 30 bars in Phase 1's Red Wolf Phase, he or she adds a bleeding debuff that slowly reduces health over time. Upon the third application of this debuff, an Area of Effect strike will occur, delivering significant damage to anybody in its path.
When Phase 2 begins, four blue orbs appear at the arena's four corners, one in each cardinal direction, surrounded by concentric red telegraphs. After coming into contact with one of these orbs, the player will be affected by a debuff that makes them more vulnerable to damage.
During Phase 2, Valtan also employs a counterable assault that renders the victim speechless until they are themselves silenced. As the debuff spreads to nearby players, affected individuals are typically forced to flee the group.
Aiming the Sidereal Power of Thirain to Inflict Twice as Much Damage
The Sidereal Power from Thirain can be used to shorten the time it takes for the Wolf Boss to divide into two bosses, the Blue wolf and the Red wolf. You can see that Thirian's attacks follow a specific path. It is possible to damage both bosses with this ability, however this depends on how the bosses are positioned and where the raid leader is when they use it.
Using taunt-based abilities can help line up bosses for a more direct hit from Thirain. If your raid doesn't contain a Gunlancer or a Berserker, you can still use a Taunting Scarecrow Battle Item or learn the Gunlancer skill "Shout of Hatred" and the Berserker skill "Endure Pain" with the Taunt Tripod.
Brilliant Cure Cancels Out Orb Mechanic
Splendid Panacea, a more powerful variant of Panacea, is a Battle Item. The 2 seconds of protection from debuffs are an added bonus. This is helpful for the Blue and Red Orb mechanic at HP Bars 30 and 15, respectively. Players will typically touch 1 orb each, following a strict order, to prevent receiving a debuff. While under the effects of the debuff, any contact with another orb will result in instant death.
A player can avoid any negative effects from absorbing orbs if they employ a Splendid Panacea right before the orbs reach them. To take advantage of this aspect, a common tactic is for one player to stand near the monster while the rest of the team stands far away. Just before accumulating all of the orbs, the player utilizes a Splendid Panacea. When the orbs are gathered, the boss can be safely Staggered by everyone. If you want to really put him down, though, utilize the Sidereal: Wei.
How to Fight Fear's Mechanical Assault
As the Wolf Boss's health drops below 30 bars, it will once again merge into a single Purple Wolf form during this phase. About once every two minutes, they'll strike with terrible force at the person they've chosen to terrorize, who will usually be the farthest away from the boss.
The Sidereal Mark can be Raised by Collecting Blue Orbs
In the second phase, when you face up against Valtan himself, you'll need to destroy the arena's pillars to protect yourself from area-of-effect attacks. Players typically attack the arena's walls and pillars in a sequence that begins at 3 o'clock and continues counterclockwise around the arena. Blue orbs are contained in pillars that collapse when he smashes them. Players who interact with these orbs are given a bonus that delays their inevitable demise until a later mechanism.
It can be tough to make sure each player only touches one orb, hence less experienced groups will use the Sidereal Power of Balthorr. If you and your allies are able to safely finish this mechanism, you can switch to using the Sidereal Power of Thirain to deal greater damage and end the battle sooner.
